The 2023 High Atlas collection was brought from Morocco to Key West shortly after the September earthquake. Each piece is hand-chosen to represent the best of this rug form, created for centuries by Amazigh (aka Berber) women. Combining shag and flat-weave technique, they demonstrate skill and tradition. Incorporated into the design are motifs to ward off the evil eye; thus, they are also considered to be protective. We love the way soft indigo slashes across the neutral gray in this small piece.
