This classic tribal motif featuring goats and trees references the many ways in which the weavers' lives are deeply influenced by nature around them.
Goats are a source of food and wealth. Traditionally, tents that the nomads lived in were woven from goat hair so they are also a symbol of shelter and protection.
The flowers and trees are a symbol of long life and good health. It's also a reference to the plants used to dye the rugs, most of which are grown locally by the weavers.
