We acquired these pieces from the private collection of a Portuguese, former ambassador to Angola. They'd been a gift to him from a Chokwe chief in the 1970s. We love the delicate, sculptural quality, as well as the attention and pride that went into making these ordinary objects so exquisitely beautiful.
