While in Paris, we had the good fortune to spend time with German author and journalist Eckhart Nickel and his lovely wife Susan.
Delightfully robust, Eckhart shared his perspective on a recent movement in art/fashion/architecture/design – that of selecting what is real, raw and primitive. As a modern culture in an ever bustling world, we find ourselves seeking a soulful connection to organic materials and hand-crafted goods. It’s true – what we have seen most in this romantic city is the presence of what is authentically real. Delicately woven textiles, hand tooled furnishings, one-of-a-kind objects. Inspiringly beautiful to the hand and to the eye!
