A precious, small-size treasure, this "passport mask" would have been carried by tribal members when traveling, both for tribal identification and for the power of a mask, made portable. It features a faint, white kaolin patina, as well as the signature wide, slit eyes and minimalist features of the Lega mask. It was acquired from a collection in Belgium.
