This design is almost like color squeezing itself into oblivion––moving from deepest teal to blinding light. The composition is such that it looks three dimensional, as if you could step into it and sink into a pool. The hand-tied knots are so perfectly blended as to be seamless, a painterly quality prized in the form of the Gabbeh.
